My everyday object jewelry was inspired by the story of frankenstein, but also the punk scene. The punk scene has always been the diy legends of the alt community. Most punks you meet, have made most of their patches, pants, shirts, vests, and also jewelry/accessories. One of these iconic pieces of the punk scene is the spiky collars. I the bolts on the pece are used to remind you of Frankenstein, and his iconic neck bolts. By placing them around the whole collar instead of just the sides, it brought out tha punk aspect. I used a bike tire for thestrip to keep the bolts attached to. I used a tire because of its flexibility ad aesthetic. It was also used for that diy punk feel. The clasp in the back is another nut and bolt, just to tie the whole thing together, and stick with the theme.
