For this piece of artwork, I was influenced by the fauvist art style and movement. By using oil pastels, I was able to blend the colors together and in an attempt to make the heart pop. There is really no deeper meaning or intent behind it, I find hearts/ internal organs to be fascinating and beautiful. They are very fun and are a fairly flexible subject.
